Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role is responsible for new business development, and building and maintaining customer relationships. As you would expect with such a role there is the expectancy that you will be available to travel within the UK and attend trade shows, some of which will be overseas.
Role specific duties
- Visiting customers and potential customers, cold-calling customers and selling services and products
- Chasing leads and following up on opportunities to generate sales
- Achieve activity and revenue targets for the Company
- Undertake ongoing training and commitment to self-development
- Working on account management plans with Head of Sales
- Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process
- Spotting market opportunities for new customers
- Attending meetings with other senior members of the business. Using other non-commercial staff – as is effective and reasonable to improve Sales performance
- Attending and networking at industry events and conferences to generate new business leads and act as a spokesperson for the organisation at sales events and conferences
- Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances
