Apply for the role of Sales Manager

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role is responsible for new business development, and building and maintaining customer relationships. As you would expect with such a role there is the expectancy that you will be available to travel within the UK and attend trade shows, some of which will be overseas.


Role specific duties

  • Visiting customers and potential customers, cold-calling customers and selling services and products
  • Chasing leads and following up on opportunities to generate sales
  • Achieve activity and revenue targets for the Company
  • Undertake ongoing training and commitment to self-development
  • Working on account management plans with Head of Sales
  • Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process
  • Spotting market opportunities for new customers
  • Attending meetings with other senior members of the business. Using other non-commercial staff – as is effective and reasonable to improve Sales performance
  • Attending and networking at industry events and conferences to generate new business leads and act as a spokesperson for the organisation at sales events and conferences
  • Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances
