Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP)
We have extensive experience in the development and manufacture of LAMP assays, and can work with you throughout the product development cycle, from initial assay design through to full development and validation.
What is a LAMP assay?
Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a single-tube technique for the amplification of DNA. Reverse Transcription Loop-mediated isothermal Amplification (RT-LAMP) combines LAMP with a reverse transcription step to allow the detection of RNA.
In contrast to the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, in which the reaction is carried out with a series of alternating temperature steps or cycles, isothermal amplification is conducted at a constant temperature which does not require the need for a thermal cycler.
Advantages
Applications
LAMP assays have been designed for the detection of a wide range of RNA and DNA targets from all manner of sample types for point-of-care (POC) and field diagnostics.
LAMP can be used to detect viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases such as such as tuberculosis (TB) malaria and SARS-CoV-2
