Phil Hargreaves 

Phil is our Operations Manager for Controlled Environmental Storage at Biofortuna. With his extensive experience in environment management and logistics, Phil ensures that all storage facilities maintain optimal conditions, guaranteeing the integrity and quality of our sensitive biological materials. His attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence are key to our success in delivering reliable and high-quality services.

Hi Phil, tell us a little about yourself.

Hi, I’m Phil, the Operations Manager for Controlled Environment Storage at Biofortuna. Previously to this I was one of the co-founders of Cryoniss which Biofortuna acquired this year. Originally coming from a background of warehousing, retail and hospitality, I’ve always taken pride in providing a high standard of customer service.

A desire to do something different around 10 years ago led me more down a science-based route, first becoming a laboratory technician in a cryogenic facility, then a co-founder of Cryoniss and now an Operations Manager at Biofortuna.

Tell us about your role at Biofortuna?

As the Operations Manager for Controlled Environment Storage, it is my responsibility to ensure the delivery of our storage service is seamless and of the highest quality, giving our clients the confidence and assurance that their materials and samples are safe, secure and maintained within the required environmental conditions to ensure the material and sample integrity is sustained throughout their time with us.

What do you enjoy most about your role? 

The overall team. Working with such a passionate and positive team certainly helps me enjoy my role.

What are the benefits of being part of the Biofortuna group?

From a business side of things, being part of the Biofortuna group allows us to progress what we built with Cryoniss into something bigger and offer new services to our existing client and future clients. Working with such a passionate team who pride themselves in the quality service they provide.

What would you like to tell your previous clients about your new venture?

Our service will only get better! As an individual and as part of the team, we will always ensure the highest standard of service is provided to our clients now being part of Biofortuna allows us to not only progress and improve current services to an even better standard but also to offer our clients new services.
