Hi Manvir, can you tell us a bit more about your experience in this industry?

I have been in the life science industry for almost 20 years. In this time, I have provided essential laboratory consumables, benchtop equipment, reagents and sequencing services to a variety of research institutions

What excites you most about working in this field right now?

There is more to sample storage than many realise, including the time needed to curate collections, the space and capacity necessary, and the essential security and risk-mitigation measures required. Customers are starting to realise the benefit of outsourcing tasks, like handing off their precious samples to relieve themselves of the energy cost, resource burden and risk of on-site storage.

I love giving them the assurance their samples are kept safe at the highest standards, should the worst-case scenario play out at their own facility. Whether that’s in ambient temperatures or vapour phase liquid nitrogen, our facilities provide 24/7 security and sample integrity.

What’s one part of your role that you’re looking forward to the most?

I’m a people person, so I love being in a position where I can find a solution to someone’s pain points. I’m most looking forward to engaging directly with customers, meeting them on site, understanding their workflows, and designing bespoke storage solutions to suit their needs.
