Biofortuna have recently relocated our NorthGene™ DNA Relationship Testing business to new, state-of-the-art facilities in Deeside.  To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a vacancy in Customer Services.  We are looking for an individual with demonstratable experience in a Customer Services role, including directly with members of the public, who can work enthusiastically and flexibly to support our business growth.


The Role

This position is an essential part of our DNA Relationship Testing team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and accurate service to our customers.  The role involves providing quotations, registering new cases, liaising with the laboratory scientists, issuing DNA Relationship Reports and being on hand to discuss and answer questions about potentially life-changing information.

Customers include members of the public and professional users of the service, for example solicitors, Local Authorities, Family Law Courts and representatives from the UK Border Agency and Ministry of Justice.  Full training will be given.


About You

We are looking for “can-do” individuals with a passion for customer service.  The role requires that you demonstrate clear thinking, excellent communication and IT skills and a real eye for detail.  You will need to evidence that you are a team player with an ability to interact easily with colleagues and customers.

You must be able to answer queries promptly, provide quotations in a timely manner, be proactive in ensuring the business is delivered effectively, multitask, consistently meet targets and turnaround times, be compliant with GDPR and our regulatory requirements under ISO17025 and be competent with all Microsoft applications.

As part of your role, you will have access to personal information and information pertaining to potentially vulnerable individuals. We will therefore require you to undertake an Enhanced check with the Government’s Disclosure and Barring Service (a ‘DBS Check’), which we will conduct on your first day. You will not be able to undertake all elements of your Role until this DBS Check is returned.


The Package
