Biofortuna has developed an exciting new range of HLA molecular diagnostic kits based on our novel freeze-dried technology that stabilises the PCR reaction mix including polymerase. All the user has to do is add DNA to pre-dispensed, freeze-dried PCR reactions. It represents the ultimate in user convenience and quality. The kits are stable at ambient temperature, removing pressure on fridges and freezers. The superior kit stability reduces packaging and removes any requirements for cold shipping.

Biofortuna have a range of unique HLA diagnostic solutions which will address:

  • Transplantation
  • Blood grouping
  • Disease identification
  • Pharmacogenetics

Our first product line is targeted for the SSP transplantation market. All kits are updated after every alignment release and are designed to reduce ambiguities. All kits come with free interpretation software.

With our proprietary freeze-dry technology and expertise in HLA we can offer a significant advantage over our competitors. Our tests are accurate, reproducible, simple, save time, cut costs, are less manually intensive, increase throughput and can be used on current platforms.

We are an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 registered company. All CE marked products are manufactured in compliance with the requirements of the IVD Directive 98/79/EC.

"The Biofortuna product range is the only HLA typing method on the market where you just add DNA and Go. The uniquely lyophilised PCR includes all buffers and taq, removing batch and pipetting variability and ultimately improving test setup time, accuracy and cost."
